George IIIrd period mahogany long chest of drawers attributed to Gillows of Lancaster and London. ‘Tower corners’ were a particular feature of Gillows’ production, from about 1790 and by 1800, were reeded. Ref: Gillows of Lancaster & London: Susan Stuart
This chest of drawers is stamped by Edwards & Roberts, a prominent London firm which produced fine quality furniture and also retailed high quality antique furniture, such as this piece.
