A rather stylish Art Deco mounted chromed car mascot signed ‘Bouraine’ c1930. Marcel Bouraine was born in Pontoise, France, in 1886 and died in 1948. He was largely self taught and exhibited widely including the Salon des Artistes Français. He was a prisoner of war during the 1914-18 war and also exhibited at the Summer Olympic art competition of 1924. He is a widely collected Art Deco sculptor and most famous for his figures of classical women and his work is represented in several French state collections. Height: 21cm
